If your location on Hornet is inaccurate or not updating, follow the steps below based on your device.
Note: Device menus vary by brand and region, so your screen may look slightly different.
On Android
- Open Settings and go to Connections. If you do not see this menu, go to Advanced Settings instead.
- Open Location and make sure your Location mode is turned on.
- Set it to High accuracy for the best result.
- Battery saver can work, but it may be less precise.
- Avoid Device only, since it uses only GPS and may not work well indoors or on WiFi.
- Turn on WiFi even if you are not connected to a network. It helps improve accuracy.
- If the issue continues:
- Go to Settings → Apps → Hornet.
- Tap Storage → Clear cache.
- Restart the Hornet app.
- If the problem still appears:
- Uninstall the Hornet app.
- Turn off your device and wait a moment.
- Turn your device back on and reinstall Hornet from Google Play.
On iOS
- Open Settings → Privacy and Security → Location Services.
- Turn on Location Services.
- Scroll down, find Hornet, and tap it.
- Choose While Using the App or Always, but do not set it to Never.
- Turn on Precise Location.
- Turn on WiFi even if you are not connected.
On the Web
The following steps are specific to Google Chrome:
- Open Google Maps in a new tab.
- In Google Maps, click the icon to show your location. If your browser asks for permission, choose Allow.
- Return to Hornet and select Use my current location.
- If the location is still inaccurate:
- Click the lock icon in your browser address bar.
- Open Settings for this site.
- Set Location to Always allow.
- Refresh the page.
- Make sure your browser is updated.
- Check your internet connection.
- Restart your computer if needed.
