Video Story Boost highlights your Video Story by moving it to the first position in the feed for 24 hours, making it much more likely to be seen, liked, and commented on. Boosted stories also display a Boosted tag, so viewers know it's featured.
When your Video Story is boosted, it appears first for many users nearby, helping you reach a larger audience and potentially grow your followers. If your story is close to expiring, it stays active and visible until the boost period finishes.
How to boost your Video Story
- Open Hornet and post a Video Story using the + button.
- On the audience selection screen, tap Boost at the bottom.
- Complete the purchase when prompted.
- When redirected to payment, confirm your details.
Your Video Story Boost starts immediately after your Video Story passes moderation. This feature is available in select locations for all users.
Why did my boosted Video Story receive fewer interactions than expected?
All boosted Video Stories are processed using the same boosting algorithm. While the boost itself functions the same way for every post, the visibility and engagement received may vary due to factors such as member activity, time of day, holidays, seasonal trends, and overall demand for boosted content at that time.
What happens if I delete a boosted Video Story?
If you delete a boosted Video Story yourself, the Video Story Boost cannot be restored or used again. Make sure you want to remove the story before deleting it.
What happens if my Video Story Boost is rejected?
If your Video Story Boost is rejected, it is not lost. It will remain available on your account, and you can use it later without making another purchase.
Once the restriction period has ended, upload a new public Video Story that complies with our guidelines. You'll see your available Video Story Boost and can apply it to the new story.
Repeated violations may result in longer restriction periods. To avoid future rejections, review our Usage Guidelines before uploading new content.
